My Favorite Blushers For Spring'16 | Colors Of Spring Tag|

Hello Beautiful!

What is the first thing that comes to your mind upon hearing the word Spring? For me it's Colors and a field full of lush green grass and beautiful flowers in all the different colors; birds chirping on the branches of thick trees surrounding the area! How calming and energizing. I love Spring as much as I love Fall, because it's neither too hot nor too cold and there's something beautiful about the bared trees as much as the branches loaded with flowers.

I'm so glad to be a part of yet another amazing platform supporting Bloggers, called Bloggers Squad PK, hash-tagged BSPK. They announce a tag  post every month and this month it is The Colors Of Spring and obviously we can have our own twist on the tag. So I decided to share My Favorite Blushers For Spring 2016.

When it comes to Blushers, I gravitate more towards Peaches and Apricots. But for Spring specially I love a good Coral. Here are the Blushers I'll be using all through Spring 2016.

As you can clearly notice, I have more Peach Blushers in this selection with a bright Coral, Pink and Orange. That's exactly what I like for Spring.

Blushers For Spring 2016:

In no particular order, let's get down to each Blusher, shall we?

a) Color Studio Professional - Audacious Orange.
This is a straight up Orange which might look scary in the pan but gives the most healthy and natural looking splash of color to the cheeks. You have to keep a light-hand with this as it can easily make you look clownish if you apply it heavily. I blend it ever so lightly on my cheeks and it stays on for a good amount of time.

b) Milani- Baked Blush - Luminoso.
This a cult favorite and for good reasons. It's a peach with a golden sheen that gives a beautiful peach color with a natural glow to the cheeks. It blends flawlessly on the face and you don't have to be too careful with it as it applies beautifully. I have used it here.

c) Makeup Revolution - Powder Blush - HOT!
It is a beautiful bright Pink that gives the prettiest Blushed-Pink look to the cheeks. You have to be light-handed with this one as I'm sure you don't wanna look like a clown, but if you do, then you do you boo! The formula is amazing which blends seamlessly.

d) Jordana - Coral Radiance.
Now this is such a beautiful bright Coral that might look "too much" in the pan but gives a beautiful wash of Coral on the cheeks. Coral Radiance is matte and can be topped with a highlighter for a more glowy look. But sometimes i like to keep my Blush Matte with my cheek-bones highlighted.

Here I have swatched them.

Top to Bottom: Audacious Orange, Luminoso, HOT!, Coral Radiance.

Left to Right: Coral Radiance, HOT!, Luminoso, Audacious Orange.

e) The Balm Cosmetics - Hot Mama.
This is supposedly a dupe for the notorious Orgasm by NARS. I don't own Orgasm so can't really compare but Hot Mama here is beautiful itself! It is a Peach Blusher with tiny golden flecks that translates onto the cheeks as a beautiful healthy sheen. I also like to use it as Blush Topper for my Matte Blushers.

f) The Balm Cosmetics - INSTAIN Long Wearing Powder Blush - Swiss Dot.
Look at how tiny and cute this is! I received it from The Balm Cosmetics - Pakistan along with some other goodies at The Launch Event (read all about it here). It is an Orange Peach and is rich in pigmentation. I plan to buy the full size when I'm done with this sample.

g) Makeup Revolution - Powder Blush - Treat.
This -again, is a peach, are you surprised? Coz I'm not! XD It has tiny gold flecks in it which gives a subtle glow with the peachy flush to the cheeks. You can layer it up and it'll blend seamlessly without looking patchy at all.

Here I have swatched them.

These are the Blushers that I love for Spring and will be using through out this season. I use Real Techniques Blush Brush to apply and blend the Blush and it does a great job!

What are your favorite Blushers for Spring? Don't forget to share them in the comments so that I can have a look at them.

Oh Spring also reminds me of this Blog Post where Elizabeth shared stunning wallpapers for Spring and all the beauty that comes with it. The pictures are breath-taking! Don't forget to see them here!

Until next time Good Luck and Ciao!

A Collective Haul !

Hello Beautiful!

I get so excited every time I receive something in my mail. You too? *High-Five*, Over the past two months I got to cross off things on my Wish-List (you can see them here), re-purchased the staples and received some as gifts and so I decided to combine them all in to a collective haul.

1) Wallet from HOBO By HUB. This was sent to me by HOBO By HUB, such a kind gesture! I love love it.The quality is as expected from HOBO By HUB -amazing!

2) Freeman Facial Polishing Mask - Charcoal and Black Sugar. This is a repurchase. By far the best scrub i have used. Ordered from Glamshop.pk

3) Zoeva - Cocoa Blend Eyeshadow Palette. I finallyyyy ticked this off my Wish-List Yay! This was in my Wish-List for December'15 and January'16! I ordered it from my favorite - Zensky!!

4) L'OREAL Hydra Total 5 Moisturizer. This is a repurchase, it's the only moisturizer I use and love! I purchase it from Naheed Super Market.

5) Nivea Men Post Shave Balm - Sensitive. I'm sure if you are a makeup lover and YouTube addict then you already know what this product is used for (apart from a post shave balm). You're right! A primer! This "trend/practice" was started by Nikkietutorials (Youtuber). I ordered it from Zensky.

6) Color Studio Professional - Kohl Addict - Black Kajal. I purchased it from the Color Studio Kiosk in Naheed Super Market. I have read good reviews for it so decided to give it a try.

7) Color Studio Professional - Pure Matte Lipstick - Predator. I've been looking for another Red Lipstick - we can't have enough Red Lipsticks right? A red that was more like the classic Ruby Woo and so purchased this from Naheed Super Market on Rabiyah's recommendation.

8) Color Studio Professional - Color Play Lipstick - Firecrackers. Color Studio recently launched a new line of Lipsticks called Color Play and I had to try it. Purchased this from Naheed Super Market. It was in my January Wish-List.

9) NYX - Matte Lipstick - Alabama. This was sent to me by Pakistan Beauty Society. I actually won their Halloween Competition (with this look) and this was sent to me as a prize.

10) ColourPop Ultra Matte Liquid Lipstick - Trap.  I finally jumped on the Liquid Lipstick specially ColourPop Ultra Matte bandwagon. This color in particular is such a unique and in-trend shade so I ordered it from Zensky. Finally ticked it off my February Wish-List.

11) ColourPop Ultra Matte Liquid Lipstick - Lumiere 2. This is exactly what made me hop on the ultra-matte-bandwagon! Ya'll know how much I love Kathleen Light (YouTuber) so I knew I had to get it as soon as she came out with this. I have reviewed her first ColourPop Lippie Stix in Lumiere. Lumiere 2 is said to be it's Liquid Lipstick version.I ordered it from Zensky. It was in my February Wish-List.

12) Essence - Longlasting Lip Liner - Sweetheart 02. I recently started investing in lip liners and learned that they help a lot for a neat and precise application. Also they provide a good base for Liquid Lipsticks. I didn't have any pink lip liner so chose this and I ordered these from Beauty Bar. It was included in my January Wish-List.

13) Essence - Longlasting Lip Liner - Lovely Frappuccino 05. One can never have enough nude lip pencils, right? This is the my nude lip pencil and I have yet to try it. I ordered this from Beauty Bar. This was in my January Wish-List.

14) Milani - Baked Blush - Berry Amore. Ever since I got and fell in love with Luminoso I had to get another shade from this amazing range and this is the second shade I picked up. I ordered this from Zensky.

15) Jordana - Blush Powder - Coral Radiance. This is my first blush-purchase from Jordana and I came across them through Kathleen Lights and immediately placed an order when she shared a different shade in her Makeup Stash - Drugstore video (watch here). This color, as bright as it is, caught my eyes first. I ordered this from Beauty Bar. This was in my January Wish-List.

16) Jordana - Blush Powder - Touch Of Pink. With Coral Radiance I went ahead and ordered this shade too because I love these kind of shades for blushers. I ordered this from Beauty Bar. It was also in my January Wish-List.

17) Essence - Silky Touch Blush - Baby Doll. This purchase again is inspired by Kathleen XD I need to do a YouTube Made Me Buy This post, don't I? It was shared by her in her Makeup Stash - Drugstore Blush video which I have linked above. I ordered it from Beauty Bar.

18) INGLOT Cosmetics - Freedom System Eyeshadow - 504. I received this in a Goody Bag, along with the one-eyeshadow palette, by Walnut Communication on the Launch of INGLOT Cosmetics in Dolmen City Mall. The color is a pretty Turquoise shade.

I had fun writing this collective haul, i hope you feel the same reading it, if you did, let me know also if you want review on any of these first and I'll be glad to oblige.

So that concludes my Collective Haul Post. I did a makeup look recently that was so appreciated by everyone (Thank you x), you can check it here.

Until next time, Good Luck and Ciao!

Champagne Eyes with Bold Lips | Makeup Look

Hello Beautiful!

So I decided to do a Makeup Look using my first Mac Lipstick - Diva. It is such a beautiful Burgundy shade with Red undertones. I kept the eyes simple for the lips to be the focus. Let's begin with the tutorial.

Products Used:

Face:
I skipped foundation and used the concealer on the high points of my face, also I kept my face matte and the only glow/sheen that came was from the Blusher.

Tools Used:
  • L.A. Girl Pro Concealer - Creamy Beige.
  • Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder in Peach Glow.
  • LORAC Pro 2 Palette - Buff, Snow, Lt. Brown, Cool Gray, Beige)
  • Color Studio Professional Hypno Black Eye Marker.
  • Jordana Best Lash Extreme Mascara.
  • Rimmel - Exaggerate Eye Definer - In The Nude.
Tools Used:
  • Morphe Brushes Blending Brush MB23.
  • e.l.f Blending Brush.
  • e.l.f Shader Brush.
  • A pencil Brush.

Lips:
  • MAC Lipstick - Diva

Steps:

Eyes:
  1. After prepping my eyes with concealer and setting them with powder, I blended the Lt. Brown shade in my crease and above it making sure I don't take it up to my brow-bone.
  2. I buffed in the Cool Gray shade on the outer corner of my eyes and into my crease. Make sure you don't take it above the crease, keep it nice and precise in the crease.
  3. I packed in the shade beige on to the the lid focusing it more in the inner part and blending it with the Cool Grey on the outer corner of my eyes.
  4. With Snow layered over Buff, I highlighted the brow bone and the inner corners.
  5. I went over my crease again with Lt. brown to blend everything so there were no harsh lines.
  6. After applying the winged eye-liner, I lined my lower lash line with cool grey and smoked it out a little with Lt. Brown.
  7. I lined my water line with the Nude Eye pencil and applied the mascara to my lashes. Two coats for the upper lash and one for the bottom.
  8. After finishing the eyes I wiped the under eye area with a makeup removing wipe and moved on to the face makeup.

Face:
  1. I kept my face very simple for this look. No foundation and no contouring.
  2. After moisturizing with my favorite L'oreal Hydra Total, I only used a concealer under my eyes (in a triangle shape), in the middle of my forehead, bridge of the nose and little on the chin. With a damp Real Techniques Sponge I blended it in tapping motion and set it immediately with the pressed powder.
  3. With Stay Matte, I lightly powdered the rest of my face.
  4. For Blush, I used Luminoso focusing it more on the apple of my cheeks and blending it back.
Lips:
  1. I applied two layers of Mac Diva on already moisturized lips. I recommend lining your lips with a lip pencil or brush first so the application is neat.

So there's the final look. Luminoso paired up beautifully with the dark bold lip. I love how Diva looks on me, it looks slightly darker than in the pictures here. Also the necklace is from Urban Chic - I love this chunky statement necklace.

I hope you liked this look, I'm planning to start doing spring Makeup looks. I also upload tutorials on my Snapchat (gulexehra) so make sure you follow me there. If you have any suggestion for a makeup look, leave it down below.

How do you pair up your bold lipsticks?

Until next time, Good Luck and Ciao!

February Favorites!

Hello Beautiful!

It's time to share the products I have been using and loving the past month. As always I kept my makeup minimal and fresh all through February but I make it a point to use some different products from my stash every month and in February I rediscovered a product that I loved when I got it. Let's start with the favorites.

1) Milani Baked Blush - Luminoso:
I have read raved reviews about this blush for a long time now and after using it I know exactly why it was raved in every review! It's because it is such a beautiful blush, right from the formula to the application. I love the peachy sheen it provides and how it blends flawlessly on the cheeks.

2) Kathleen Lights x ColourPop - Lippie Stix - Lumiere:
I have a complete review on it, which you can read here. This is a rediscovered product from my stash and I started using it again in February and fell in love with it all over again. Such a beautiful beautiful shade!

3) Color Studio Professional - Haute Nail Paint - OMG:
This nail paint makes the perfect accent nail and coveres the whole nail with glitter. The glitter is not very chunky but more like tiny flecks of glitter packed on the nails. This on my nails instantly makes me happy and cheerful! I usually pair it up with my nude Brown and Grey nail paints.

4) L.A. Girl Pro Concealer - Creamy Beige:
As I had kept my makeup minimal all through February, I have been skipping foundation and using this concealer instead. After moisturizing my skin really well I apply a sheer layer of the concealer under my eyes, a little on my forehead and chin. I love how natural that looks on my skin.

Ashootabby is known for their kurtis with contemporary and beautiful patterns and cuts and their bags are just the same -classy and trendy. This particular bag caught my attention and I knew I had to get it! I love the color palette. I wore it with almost all my outfits throughout February. You can see me carrying it here.

Ashootabby was kind enough to offer a 12% discount on all the bags (see the collection here) for all you lovely ladies. Avail the discount with the code ASHOOG12. The code is valid until 31st March, 2016.

I'm looking forward to use other products in my stash for the month of March. Also if you want a detailed review on any of the above mentioned products, please let me know. I've already reviewed ColourPop's Lumiere.

What were your favorites in February?

Until next time, Good Luck and Ciao!

I Hauled! -Wet n Wild, Milani & Rosebud Perfume Co.

Hello beautiful!!

I have yet another haul to share with you! With this haul I crossed off two products from my September Wish-List which I shared with you. Also I bought a dupe for the lipstick I had in that Wish-List, I wanted to see how does the color look on me before finally making the splurge but too bad, I wasn't really into how it looked on me. Glad I got the dupe though!

What I Hauled:

a) Milani Baked Blush - Luminoso
b) Rosebud Perfume Co.- Smith's Rosebud Salve
c) Wet n Wild MegaLast Lip Color - Bare It All
d) Wet n Wild Color Icon Bronzer - Reserve Your Cabana

I bought these from Zensky on Facebook. My absolute favorite place to shop makeup from! The girl behind is super sweet and has the most reasonable prices!
I have a discount code for you guys through which you can avail free shipping on orders above Rs. 7500 and that is GULZEN75!!

I needed a lip balm for my lips as they tend to become drier in this weather. I saw this one in one of Wafa Khan's post where she shared her favorite lip balms and Lisa Eldridge video so decided to give this one a try. Milani's Luminoso was after Kathleen Lights raved about it and Reserve Your Cabana because it's one of Jessica Braun's all time favorite! I just got an idea for a post! Something like "YouTubers made me buy this! Haha! I'm sure Kathleen will top the list!! Since I started my blog, I've purchased a lot of products and just so you don't get bored of the many Haul videos -videos? no, posts (been watching too many haul videos I guess), I'll be posting them in between other posts.

What did you haul in the month of October? Don't forget to share your hauls with me! <3

Until next time, Good Luck and Ciao!
