Maybelline Color Sensational Stripped Nudes - Coffee Craze

Hello beautiful!

I've been on a hunt for a perfect nude lipstick for months but whatever I got was either too peach or too pink or too too brown or completely washed me out! Do I sound picky? Well, what can I say, I want a perfect nude lipstick! When somebody told me to check out Coffee Craze I got it the very next day but did it impress me? Is it the perfect nude lipstick I've been looking for? Well read on to find out *wink*

What Maybelline Says?

My Thoughts:

Now from the beginning, Maybelline is one of my favorite brand from the drugstore/high streets so I knew I'd love the formula. Upon swatching Coffee Craze I really did love the formula. It was creamy with a satin finish and very comfortable on the lips, did not wash me out at all and so I bought it immediately.

Coffee Craze is a brown nude with neutral undertones. The packaging is that of a typical Maybelline Lipstick - pretty and sturdy and is travel friendly. The lipstick itself is in a bullet form and is cut in such a way that you can apply it directly to your lips for a very neat application. It's a satin finish that is moisturizing and hyderating to the lips, not sticky at all. I absolutely love Maybelline lipsticks' formula!

It compliments my NC 25 skin tone very well. It's not too peachy or too pink or too too brown, It has the right amount of brown in it. If only it had warm undertones, it would have been that perfect Nude Lipstick for me, I believe, since my skin tone has yellow undertones. BUT I'm not complaining because I love this lipstick!
I pair it with all my dramatic and smokey eye looks, also I use it on its own as in - no foundation - moisturizer - mascara or a little blush- Coffee Craze and I'm ready! Yes, it looks beautiful on me without any foundation or any other makeup. I'm really happy I got it!

I'll rate this a 4.5 out of a 5, .5 because I wish it had more warm undertones. (Am I too picky or what?!)

What is your favorite Nude Lipstick and would it suit me? Let me know! (:
Please please suggest me a good Nude Lipstick as I want more and still looking for a perfect one that is more on a brown side and has warm undertone to suit my NC 25 skin tone. Your suggestions are always valuable for me.

Until next time, Good Luck and Ciao!

Lipsticks for Fall 2015

Hello beautiful!

Although it's hot outside where I live but I have been reading a lot of Fall related posts recently. So I decided to look up lipsticks perfect for this Fall/Autumn. After searching and researching, looking at swatches, reviews and comparing them I settled on these five lipstick I feel are perfect for Fall this year specially keeping in mind the Pantone Color of the Year 2015 "Marsala". Fall, I feel, is the perfect time to incorporate Marsala in our beauty and wardrobe.

So let me just share the Lipsticks I feel are perfect for this Fall and definitely a nice way to get me out of my comfort zone of nudes and corals.

1. Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick in Glam Plum Fulham:
Glam Plum Fulham is such a pretty berry color that suits all skin tones and look incredibly beautiful specially in Autumn. I feel a good berry lipstick is a staple for Fall and Rimmel Glam Plum Fulham is exactly that.

2. YSL Rouge Volupte Shine - Fuchsia In Grunge No. 35:
Looks like a dirty plum in the bullet but YSL Fuchsia In Grunge is more of a mavey pink with plum undertones. Rouge Volupte Shine is always a treat for the lips - so smooth and hydrating! Perfect for Fall when our lips tend to dry. Like all the Rouge Volupte Shine lipsticks, it has a glossy finish and is sheer on the first application. This one in particular also has very subtle sparkle that doesn't look chunky or patchy at all, they aren't very noticeable anyway. The perfect for Fall for its plum undertones and perfect for people who like to keep it nice and subtle in Fall or don't want a very in-your-face plum color.

3. Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick - Bond Girl :
I always try to say the names of Charlotte Tilbury's products in her accent; her accent is beautiful! This lipstick is a beautiful warm toned berry color with brown undertones and has a semi-matte finish but very comfortable on the lips. Appears a dark brownish berry on fair skinned gals but a very pretty nude berry color on dark skinned beauties! If you're ready to splurge then Charlotte Tilbury's Bond Girl is the way to go for this Fall! It's a treat for Autumn, the Marsala theme and your lips.

4. Colour Pop Ultra Matte Liquid Lipstick - Avenue :
Colour Pop Ultra Matte Liquid Lipsticks are all the rage right now! They set down to a super matte finish and are very pigmented - all that with a very small price tag! They've been a hit as soon as they came out. Out of all the shades (which they have a lot of, even blues and greens) I found Avenue to be perfect for this Fall and the Marsala theme. It's an almost muted medium-dark burgundy with cool undertones, although it is described as a "deep yellow red". It'll look beautiful in the Fall for it's pretty burgundy color.

5. Maybelline Color Sensational Creamy Mattes - Divine Wine :
Maybelline is one of my favourite brand for lipsticks, they have the best formula for lipsticks in my opinion. Their creamy mattes are well, creamy mattes. Their matte but not super matte, more like a satin finish and are creamy and comfortable on the lips.
Divine Wine is a deep dark burgundy with warm reddish-brown undertones -perfect for Fall and the Marsala theme. It's the perfect Burgundy for this Fall without being vampy. This with thick voluminous lashes and deep-peachy cheeks and you're good to go - fresh and perfect for the Autumn!

I hope this post helped you decide on your favorite lipstick for the coming season. Let me know what's your favorite from my selection and your own favorite too. Any must-have lipstick for you lovelies for Autumn? Well then be sure to share with me down below!

11 Things You Did Not Know About Me! (Tag)

Hello beautiful!

I'm so excited to write this! This is my first tag post! :D I was tagged by the beautiful Sana from Sana's Ramblings. You can read about her tag post here.
So basically one has to answer all the questions from the person who've tagged you. Once you're done, you tag others and give them your questions!

Now this is a great chance for me to tell you all a little about myself and my interests. I haven't done any "Know Me" kinda posts yet so this is the perfect tag for me to get started. I hope you enjoy reading it, I'm so excited to answer the questions!

11 Things You Did Not Know About Me!

Q 1. What's your current obsession?

Ans. My current obsession? Well, Makeup!! I've been sooo obsessed with makeup in general. In particular I'm currently obsessed with Masarrat Misbah Makeup Stay On Blusher in Shell Bronze. It's such a beautiful shade and so long lasting on my combination skin. Shell Bronze is currently my obsession, my Holy Grail blusher!

Q 2. What do you think is the best quality in a person?

Ans. HONESTY+KINDNESS. I cannot stress enough on how important it is to be honest! It might be a strong statement but I absolutely cannot stand lies! Being honest doesn't mean to be blunt and not care about other's feelings, that is where kindness comes in. I believe Honesty + Kindness are one of the best quality anyone can & should have.

Q 3. Are you adventurous when it comes to makeup/fashion?

Ans. When it comes to makeup, yes. Although not overly adventurous. Regarding fashion, I'd say not much because I tend to dress according to my body shape, what I think looks good on me and what I am comfortable in. So, although something is very much in trend but if I think it won't look good on me, or wont suit my body type or I don't feel comfortable in it, I will not follow that trend.

Q 4. Your top 5 beauty products?

Ans. I'll start with skincare because well I believe it's very important to take care of our skin first before putting layers of makeup.
  1. Freeman Charcoal and Black Sugar Polishing Mask: This is such an amazing product! It's basically an exfoliater. You leave it on your face for 3 minutes and then scrub gently. I scrub until the sugar dissolves on my face, yes it dissolves on your face! There aren't fake harsh beads in it. It thoroughly cleanses the face getting rid of all the impurities and dead cells. I felt the difference in just the first wash. Also you must exfoliate at least once a week.
  2. L'oreal Paris Hydra-Total 5 Ultra Hydrating Gel-Cream: Long name, eh? This is the only moisturizer I'm happy with for my combination skin. There's one for dry skin too. It works wonders for my skin. Leaves it so hydrated without being greasy at all! I love to wear it under my foundation. Also, I use it religiously in Fall and Winters as it gets rid of any dry patches and leaves the skin soft, supple and hydrated! I specially use it after exfoliating.
  3. Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder: I do not ever leave my house without this dusted all over my face!! It's a pressed powder that helps control shine and keeps you matte! This keeps my combination skin under control and controls the shine. Perfect to set under eye concealers and your whole face in general. I'll definitely keep buying this!
  4. Masarrat Misbah Stay On Blusher in Shell Bronze: As mentioned above, it's my current obsession and a Holy Grail blusher! It's perfect for every day wear and can be paired up with any makeup look, whether dramatic or subtle! It gives my cheeks a very healthy looking peachy wash of color with a slight sheen and glow -perfect!
  5. Too Faced Chocolate Bar: This is like the top most nude palette for me in all of the nude palettes! If you want to own just one Nude Palette, I'd say get this!!! It has just the right amount of mattes and shimmer to create it either a soft natural eye look or a dramatic one! So pigmented and blends flawlessly.
Q 5. What do you like most about blogging?

Ans. I've always had the passion for writing whether it's short stories or poetry or even a novel (which I am currently working on *wink* ) and I love connecting with people and blogging lets me to do just that. I can write on my favorite topics and products like my readers are sitting with me and we're just having a chat and I'm sharing what I know with them, what's been working for me, if I tried something new or all the tips and tricks I come across. I love reading articles, testing products, trying them on myself, keeping myself updated with all the fashion and beauty trends and I love to share it with everyone,

Q 6. Where are you originally from?

Ans. I'm from the city Karachi and my beautiful country Pakistan.

Q 7. If you would be the C.E.O of any brand for one day, what would it be?

Ans. Too Faced for sure! I love Too Faced.

Q 8. When did you start wearing makeup?

Ans. I really started wearing makeup at the age of 22, that was last year and my obsession with it started. I think it was probably this time last year. My mum often tells me I loved makeup as a kid, I loved to play with her cosmetics but I actually started wearing it last year.

Q 9. If you were stranded on an abandoned island and you had only one choice to choose one person next to you, who would it be? Why?

Ans. Well that's an interesting question! I'd choose my BESTFRIEND. my BFF, my sista from another mother Javeria! Why? Well because she's my Javeria! We can talk for hours without stopping for a minute, she and I are like open books for each other. I love her so much!

Q 10. What career path are you looking at?

Ans. I'm kind of in a dilemma at the moment. I want to work in the makeup industry or for a makeup brand or maybe for all of them AND I want to be a psychologist, I want to help people that way. Well who says I can't be both, right? But I have to start somewhere.

Q 11. What inspires you for keep on going for blogging?

Ans. For the love of writing and sharing it with the world. The love for makeup, fashion, books, beauty, food, arts and craft.  To share what I know, my experiences, my knowledge and what I learn with the people and to help them in some way or the other. To spread love, positivity and kindness <3

August Favorites!

Hi there!

Can't believe it's September already! It sounds cliche but time flies so fast and it's already time for my favorites for the month of August. Now I haven't been very active in August when it came to applying makeup -thanks to my Jaundice. I couldn't go out much and trips to hospital don't count because I couldn't obviously wear makeup there -all I tried was not vomit all the way there, but I've been better.

Now as much as I did use and play around with my makeup, I reached for some more than the rest and so here I am with those.

1. e.l.f Studio Blush Brush:
Although it's a blush brush I use it for applying my highlighters. It's great for packing the highlighter to your high points because of it's size and how it's tapered. Also a sheer layer can be applied by tapping off the excess product. It picks up just the right product and dabs on and blends the highlighter beautifully on the skin, Whether the product is pressed or baked, this brush works incredibly well with both. I'm really impressed with how soft and well made it is and it hasn't shed even once even after 5 washes.
You can purchase it here.

2. Real Techniques - Blush Brush:
I had been on a hunt of a good blush brush from quite some time and I'm so glad I got this because this is great! I haven't touched any other brush to apply my blush with after this. It's perfect, PERFECT, I tell you! Picks up just the right product, great at packing the product onto the skin and blends like a dream! The bristles are tapered and s incredibly soft! I have washed it for like 8 times now and it has not shed even once! This was my first ever brush from Real Techniques and I'm in love with it!!! It works beautifully with baked and pressed and loose powders. I think you will need something more dense and flat for cream and liquid blusher. I have never tried cream or liquid blushers anyway.
You can purchase it here.

3. Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder - Peach Glow:
I sweat profusely and have combination skin and this helps me keep my combination skin matte. I also like to set my under eye concealer and eye primer with it. This dusted over with my face with a large powder brush and I'm good to go! This is the only product I've hit pan on and I'll for sure buy it again! It's my staple, my Holy Grail!
You can purchase it here.

4. Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick - Heart Breaker:
This is such a gorgeous shade! Putting this on somehow brightens my face and day! I usually apply it with the pad of my ring finger for a sheer wash of color and directly from the bullet when I want the full opacity. It's such a gorgeous reddish-pink raspberry shade and makes me feel so confident as soon as I put it on!
You can purchase it here.

5. MorpheBrushes - MB23 Round Blender:
I'll do an in-depth review on this soon along with another brush from Morphe Brushes. It'll be enough to say, at the moment, that I'm in love with how it blends the eyeshadows FLAWLESSLY and it's so so soft!
You can purchase it here.

I'd love to know what were your favorites from the month of August! Also let me know if you want an in-dept review on any of the above (:

Until next time, Good Luck and Ciao!

Independence Day 2015, EOTD

Hello beautiful!
I know I know it's way past the Independence Day but my Jaundice decided to come and knock me down just on that day and I've been down since. I had this Eye Makeup look ready but couldn't post about it so here am I, doing it now, better late than never they say.

So I decided to do a bright two toned green (green obviously) eye look. In all honestly, I'm not a pro when it comes to applying makeup nor am I a makeup artist but I do my best and l teach myself as much as I can through YouTube and Instagram as I love love applying and playing with makeup!

Products used:
  • e.l.f Mineral Eye Shadow Primer
  • NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk
  • Morphe Brushes Individual Eye Shadow in Caramelized
  • Glamorous Face U.S.A Eyeshadow Palette (24 Dazzling Eye Shadows Palette)
  • e.l.f Studio Cream Eye Liner in Black
  • Maybelline Volum'Express The Rocket Mascarra
  • Maybelline Colossal Kajal 12H Extra Black
Tools used:
  • Morphe Brushes MB 23 Brush
  • e.l.f Shader Brush
  • e.l.f Angled Liner Brush
  • Pencil Brush
Steps:
  1. After priming my lids I blended Caramelized well into my crease with the Morphe Brushes MB 23 and kept building and blending the color to my liking.
  2. I used the Jumbo Pencil in Milk as a white base for the eyeshadows to appear bright and pop.
  3. With e.l.f. Shader Brush I packed on the light lime green color from the palette in the inner 2/3rd of my eyes and then packed on the dark sea green color from the palette into the outer corner of my eyes and blended it well with the lime green shade and also took it a little into the crease to blend it well.
  4. I took the same lime green shade on the inner 1/3rd of my lower lash line and the sea green shade on the outer 2/3rd of my lower lash line and blended it with a little Caramelized on a pencil brush.
  5. After tightlining my upper lashline and lower lashline with the Maybelline Colossal Kajal and the jumbo pencil in Milk in my waterline, I applied two coats of the Maybelline Mascara to my upper and lower lashes.
  6. Using the e.l.f cream eyeliner in black I completed the look with a winged eye liner and extended it a little in the inner corner to make a sharp V.

It was a very quick one and I was happy with the result, I hope you like it too. Also I'd LOVEEE to hear your feedback and suggestions. I reallyy like how straight up my lashes look in this one, thanks to The Volum'Express The Rocket Mascara that was also one of my July's Favorites which you can read about here. I have been loving using Caramelized as my crease color in most of the makeup looks I did. I'll review and swatch it for you guys soon (:

Until next time, Good Luck and Ciao! (:

WishList - September

Hello Beautiful!

I have decided to share my Wish-List with all of you from this month (:
Now as we all know, our wishlists are always so long, I try my best to keep it short & realistic but alas! I'm going to select 5 things that I really really want like NOW and share them here with you! Hope we all get to get & cross things off our wishlist this month! *fingers crossed*

Let's just dive right in my Wish-List for the month of September!

Looks like I'm into peachy nudey things this month!

1. Milani baked Blush in Luminoso:
This went straight in to my wishlist after Kathleen Lights showed it in her blusher collections and said its one of her top favorite! This looks so pretty for an every day peachy wash of color for the cheeks with that beautiful sheen! I'm so gonna get this, you just see! :D

2. Becca x Jaclyn Hill Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Champagne Pop:
Just look at this one, gosh!!! How can I not wish to get this?! The question is, why have I not got it yet?! Becca collaborated Jaclyn Hill to create this Highlighter that is drool worthy!! I neeeeed this!

3. The Balm - Hot Mama:
This looks so pretty in the pan and the swatches I saw in different reviews and gives such a pretty healthy sheen to the cheeks and I feel this will look great paired with any eye makeup, dramatic or subtle. I wish I get this in this month only! Amen!!

4. Wet n Wild Color Icon Bronzer in Reserve Your Cabana:
This is definitely not a bronzer but a very pretty subtle highlighter. After raved about by Jessica Braun (Youtuber) and looking at the beautiful sheen it gives I really really need to get it! It'll be perfect for minimal looks that I wear most of the times I do my makeup. Plus it's such a big amount of product with a very small price tag, definitely getting it!

5. MAC Lipstick in Velvet Teddy:
I am always looking for nude lipstick to compliment my NC 25 skin tone. I've got one in Maybelline that I really like and now I have my eyes on this! It's such a pretty peach toned beige color and I cannot wait to start my Nude Lipstick Collection with this in it and also finally get a MAC lipstick. Yes, I do not own any MAC lipsticks yet and I will start with this one.

So there, that's my wishlist for the month of September, hopefully I get to get some of these if not all. I try my best to control the urge to shop for makeup but well, after many self imposed bans that were unmet I'm thinking to just give up - my wallet might be giving me a death glare at this very moment! Well who am i kidding, I am a very cautious buyer and try my best to not hoard.

I cannot wait to read about what you wish to get this month so do share your wishlists with me!

Until next time, Good Luck and Ciao!
