December Favorites!

Hello Beautiful!

It's time to share my December Favorites. The last monthly favorites of this year! I am thinking to do a "Favorite Products of 2015" or "Most Used Products of 2015". Same concept just different titles. Let me know in the comments if you'd be interested in that! As of now, let's start with the favorites of this month.

Now December for me was full of weddings in family and friends. Therefore I got to use a lot of makeup products and these products were used in all of the makeup looks I created on me and some of them on a Mehendi Bride I did. I'll share the look I did for the Mehendi Bride on my social media in detail so keep a look out for that.

1. Wet n Wild Fergie Shimmer Palette - Hollywood Boulevard:
This purchase was inspired by the beautiful Maliha Asif from (on snapchat) and I'm so glad I got it!! I have been using it ever since it reached me. The glow it gives is extremely beautiful! A healthy glowy sheen without the glitter or sparkle or any fall out. Also the glow is buildable so you can really really intensify it! I absolutely love this gorgeous highlight and even traveled with it although I didn't need to touch up at all!

2. The Balm Cosmetics - Hot Mama:
Although I feel this is an appropriate color for Summer but I couldn't stop using it nevertheless. It gives such a healthy color and sheen to my cheeks. I also layered it under other blushers for more night time looks but for day time I used it alone. As it gives both color and glow I could skip the highlighter. I don't really like to highlight much in day time although I can get away with it in Winters without looking oily. So this blush has been the most used blush this month as it gave a beautiful peachy color and sheen to my cheeks! I traveled with this one too although I didn't need to touch up.

3. Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation- Vanilla 52:
Okay so, I have been using the Bourjois 123 Perfect Foundation ever since I started using foundation and it has been perfect for my combination skin that leans to slightly oily in Summer but in Winters it tends to be dry so I had to get a foundation with a Satin Finish, if not dewy. Healthy Mix has been my first choice and it has been working beautifully for me!! It gives such a healthy satiny finish that lasts for a long long time on my face!! I'm not getting any other foundation now! I'm in love with this product!!

4. L'oreal Paris Telescopic Mascara - Carbon Black:
Oh my Gosh!! I finally know what the hype is about and it's real!! The hype behind this mascara is real!! It gives me the most amazing, wispy and long lashes!! I was a bit skeptical about the wand first but it's perfect to coat each lash from the bottom to the top! I am in love with this Mascara and been using it through out this month!

5. Color Studio Professional - Hypno Black Eye Marker:
This is the first eye liner marker/pen I have used. Although I still am yet to perfect a winged eye liner with this but this is so much more convenient and travel friendly then my Cake Eyeliners where I have to keep a separate brush and need to wet it. Whereas with this, I only have to take off the cap and *swish swish* and I'm done! Also it's very pigmented and glides on smoothly so it has been the only eye liner that I used through out December.

6. e.l.f Poreless Face Primer:
This is my first primer that I have used. I didn't use any face primer before December but with all the weddings, I decided to invest in one and on Kiran Khan's recommendation I got this and boy I'm so glad I did! Although I don't have any Pore issues but I felt it made the area around my nose and on my nose quite smooth. Also my makeup lasted a longer time than when I don't use a primer and my foundation blends so smoothly on top of it! I also used it on the bride.

7. Skindinavia - Makeup Finishing Spray - Oil Control:
This has been my best friend through out December! It kept my makeup intact all through the event, the eating, the dancing everything! My makeup stayed fresh until it was time to wash it off! I am in love LOVE with this setting spray and don't think I'll be trying any other brand. This has win my heart!!

So these are the products I have used and loved the most through out December and were incorporated in all of the makeup looks I did! This is my last post of 2015 and I am grateful for all the love and support I have received from all of you!

Let me know what were your favorites for the month of December and if you are interested in "Most Used/Favorite Products of 2015" and I'll gladly do that post!

Until next time, Good Luck and Ciao!

New Year's Glam !! (2016)

Hello Beautiful!

Did 2015 not go so fast?! Don't we say that for almost every year? Haha but no seriously 2015 really went by so quick, at least for me. So here's a Makeup Look For New Year or New Year's Eve! As it's all about Glitter and Sparkle for New Year, I did glittery eyes where as kept my lips Pinky Nude, You can definitely pair this look with a bold Red Lipstick to make it look more festive!

Also in the tutorial, I'll tell you how to make your makeup last all night so that you can party and welcome 2016 without a worry!

Products Used:

Face:
  • L'oreal Paris Hydra-Total 5 Ultra Hydrating Gel-Cream.
  • e.l.f Poreless Face Primer.
  • Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation in Vanilla-52.
  • Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder in Peach Glow.
  • Milani Baked Blush in Luminoso.
  • Wet n Wild Fergie Shimmer Palette in Hollywood Boulevard.
  •  Skindinavia Makeup Finishing Spray - Oil Control
Tools Used:
  • Real Techniques Buffing Brush.
  • Real Techniques Blush Brush.
  • e.l.f Studio Blush Brush.
  • e.l.f. Kabuki Brush.
Eyes:
  • e.l.f Mineral Eye Primer.
  • Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder in Peach Glow.
  • Too Faced Chocolate Bar - Salted Caramel, Triple Fudge and Champagne Truffle.
  • Morphe Brushes Individual Eye Shadow in Caramelized and Creme Brule.
  • Inglot AMC Pure Pigment Eyeshadow - 14.
  • Urban Decay Heavy Metal Glitter Eyeliner - Midnight Cowboy.
  • Color Studio Professional Hypno Black Eye Marker.
  • NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil - Milk.
  • L'oreal Paris Telescopic Mascara - Carbon Black.
  • Maybelline Rocket Volum'Express Mascara.
Tools Used:
  • Morphe Brushes Blending Brush MB23.
  • e.l.f. Blending Brush.
  • Color Studio Professional Blending Brush.
  • e.l.f Shader Brush.
  • A pencil Brush
  • An Angled Blending Brush
Lips
  • Luscious Cosmetics Ultra Smooth Lip Liner in Chai Latte.
  • Luscious Cosmetics Super Moisturizing Lipstick in Daisy Pink.

Steps:

Eyes:
  1. After priming my eyes I set them with Stay Matte Pressed Powder so that rest of the eyeshadows can blend easily.
  2. With Morphe MB23 I blended Salted Caramel as my transition color, on and above my crease.
  3. With e.l.f blending brush which is smaller than the Morphe one, I blended Caramelized into my crease. With MB23 I blended the two colors together.
  4.  I blended Creme Brule on the outer corners of my eyes, with an angled blending brush, and took it into my crease and blended everything again with MB23.
  5. On Color Studio Blending Brush I packed and blended Triple Fudge on the outer part of my eyes.
  6. I blended my crease again with a little Salted Caramel on MB23.
  7. I used Champagne Truffle with a little Fix Plus to highlight the brow-bone area.
  8. With the shader brush I packed the Inglot Pigment on to my lids and blended it into the Triple Fudge. To make the pigment adhere to my lid I used it with Fix plus.
  9. On my lower lash line, I blended Caramelized with a pencil brush and lined my water-line with Milk.
  10. After creating a winged-eyeliner I coated my lashes, first with Telescopic and then with The Rocket Mascara.
  11. I finished the eye makeup with the Glitter Liner on the inner part of my lid and a little on my inner corners (be careful with that though, it irritated my eyes as I put it too close to my inner rim and so I had to clean it therefore it looks a little untidy).

Face:
  1. After moisturizing my face I primed it with the Poreless Primer concentrating and patting it near my nose and on nose and spreading the rest all over my face.
  2. I buffed in my foundation with the Buffing Brush.and set it with Rimmel Stay matte Powder.
  3. For my blush I used Milani's Luminoso with Real Technique's Blush Brush. It's such a gorgeous shade! I used it for the first time!!
  4. Highlighted my cheekbones with Hollywood Boulevard and applied a little on the bridge of my nose (but not the tip of the nose).
  5. At the very end I sprayed the Skindinavia Makeup Finishing Spray!
Lips:
  1. I lined my Lips with Chai Latte and filled them in a little.
  2. For Lipstick I used Daisy Pink by Luscious Cosmetics. It's such a beautiful muted pink.
To make the makeup last all night I used the e.l.f's Poreless Primer at the beginning and finished th whole look with a spray of Skindinavia Makeup Finishing Spray. This combination has made my makeup last through all the weddings this month!

So here's the final look! I really love how it turned out with the sparkly eyes and the muted pink lips. You can definitely use more glitter on the lower lash line, I didn't because for some reason my eyes were very sensitive that day also I did a look recently where I lined my lower lash line with glitter. You can check that here. That is even perfect for New Year, if you don't want a lot of Glitter. Definitely check my Quick Holiday Look!

Anyway, I hope you like this look. I definitely loved it! The eyes were so sparkly!! Let me know what you plan to do on the New Year's eve and don't forget to share your Makeup Looks with me using #gulezehrasblog.

I hope you all have a very happy New Year and a blessed 2016. Thank you for all the love and support you have showed me here, on my Facebook, Twitter and Instagram! It all means a lot to me. The Organizer Haul!

Hello Beautiful!

Hope you all had a great week! I spent my week organizing my recent hauls and that's when I realized I need another organizer specially something I can display on my dresser/vanity table and I contacted none other the Organizer Queen Erum Junaid from Organizing Solutions by Erum. She has a ton load of different organizer available at such reasonable prices. Also she's very accommodating and super polite and sweet to deal with so ordering from her has always been a pleasure.

This time I ordered a 6 drawer + a tray organizer that you can see in the pictures attached. As soon as it came I displayed it on my dresser (after taking pictures of course) and began placing and arranging the makeup goodies. I have yet to fill the last two drawers though.

What I Hauled?

It is an acrylic organizer although it looks like it's made of glass! Dusting these is not an issue. What I do to clean them thoroughly is to wash them! Yes, I wash them first with soapy water and then run them under clean water and they become as good as new.
I'm glad I picked a 6 drawer organizer because I sure need as much space as I can get! Will be ordering in future too!

Make sure you go check out the amazing variety of organizers on her page here (www.facebook.com/OrganisingSolutionsbyErum)! She'll help you with what will work for you the best and you'll see for yourself how amazing she is in her dealing!

Have you got any organizers from her before? What are your favorite ways to organize? Let me know in the comments down below! <3

Until next time, Good Luck and Ciao!

A Quick Holiday'15 Look !

Hello Beautiful!

Here's a last minute quick Holiday Look with a little sparkle and a bright Red pout. Aren't Reds all the rage this Holiday season? I feel you can never go wrong with a Red Lipstick (given you choose the right one with the right undertone for you). A Red Lipstick makes one look put together and classy instantly and it doesn't really require a lot of eye makeup too!
I know I'm late for a Holiday look but not too late yeah? That's why this is a last - minute makeup look that you can totally rock this Holiday!
Now for me anyhting quick or last minute doesn't involve foundation and contouring, therefore I haven't used foundation or contour but you can totally use a BB Cream or even a foundation if you like, you do you boo!

If you do recreate this look, don't forget to share it with me using the hashtag #gulezehrasblog

Products Used:

Face:
  • L'oreal Paris Hydra-Total 5 Ultra Hydrating Gel-Cream.
  • Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in 15.
  • Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder in Peach Glow.
  • Makeup Revolution Powder Blusher in Sugar.
  • Wet n Wild Fergie Shimmer Palette in Hollywood Boulevard.
Tools Used:
Eyes:
  • L. A. Girl Pro Concealer in Creamy Beige.
  • Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder in Peach Glow.
  • Morphe Brushes Individual Eye Shadow in Caramelized and Creme Brule.
  • Wet n Wild Fergie Shimmer Palette in Hollywood Boulevard.
  • Maybelline Colossal Kajal in Black.
  • Maybelline Rocket Volum'Express Mascara.
  • L'oreal Paris Telescopic Mascara - Carbon Black.
  • Sweet Face Sparkling Eye Liner in 10. (You can use ANY glitter eyeliner. I used this because it was locally available).
Tools Used:
  • Morphe Brushes Blending Brush MB23.
  • e.l.f. Blending Brush.
  • A pencil Brush
  • An Angled Blending Brush
  • e.l.f Angled Eye Liner Brush
Lips:
  • Luscious Cosmetics Ultra Smooth Lip Liner - Ruby
  • Maybelline Color Sensational Lipstick - Lady Red

Steps:

Eyes:
  • After priming my eyes with the Creamy Beige concealer (up to my brows and near the lower lash-line), I set it with Stay Matte Powder so that rest of the eyeshadows can blend easily.
  • With Caramelized, as a transition color, on the MB23 brush I blended it well in my crease and took it a little higher. Blended it well from the outer corner to the inner corners of my eyes.
  • With Creme Brule on an Angled Blending Brush I patted it in the outer corners of my eyes and took it into my crease blending it well.
  • Again with a little Caramelized on MB23 I blended the two colors together so there are no harsh lines.
  • I highlighted my brow-bone and inner corners with Holly Wood Boulevard.
  • After lining my upper lids with Colossal Kajal, I smudged it with an Angled Eyeliner Brush and created a soft wing.
  • For the Holiday sparkle I lined my lower lash line with two coats of Glitter Eyeliner.
  • At the end applied a coat of Rocket Mascara and topped it with Telescopic Mascara.

Face:
  • After moisturizing my face I applied the concealer under my eyes and blended it in with my ring finger with a tapping motion.
  • I set the concealer with Stay Matte Powder and dust it lightly all over my face.
  • For blush I used Sugar and highlighted my cheek bones with Holly Wood Boulevard.

Lips:
  • I lined and filled in my lips with the Lip Liner in Ruby.
  • Finished the whole look with two swipes of Lady Red on my lips.

I have no idea why my neck looks so different in tone than my face although it matched fine. Maybe because of the lighting because I had nothing but a light dust of Stay Matte Pressed Powder on my face and neck. Well, that's the Holiday Look. The steps for eyes might seem long but they don't take long when you're actually doing the eye makeup. The smudged eyeliner can be skipped altogether and you can also use just one mascara that provides both length and volume.

I hope you like this quick, last minute makeup look. Let me know how you plan to spend your Holidays and don't forget to share your makeup looks with me by using the hashtag #gulezehrasblog. I'll be doing Winter looks very soon too!

Until next time, Good Luck and Ciao!

I Hauled -again!!

Hello Beautiful!

So, I was able to cross of two things off my Wish List for December, YAY, and get something extra because I had my eyes on it for a very long time now.
November and December have been full of hauls, I have been doing a lot of damage to my wallet! Every time I try to impose a ban on myself, a brand launches a new product (I'm looking at you Color Studio Professional for launching the Color Play Lipsticks) and then I have to get it *sigh*.

If you don't know what Wish-List is all about on my blog, it is a post I do every month where I share the products I select (from my extensive WishList) in hope of finally purchasing them in that month and also as a reminder to myself of the products I need to buy. You can read more about why and how I do it here and look through all my Wish-Lists here!

What I Hauled?

a) Bourjois Paris Healthy Mix Foundation - 52 Vanilla.
b) MAC Cosmetics Lipstick - Diva.
c) e.l.f - Poreless Face Primer.

If you saw my WishList for December you'd know why I wanted the Healthy Mix Foundation and MAC Diva. So on to the primer, I have been using an eye primer for my eye (duh) but I had never before primed my face. The only reason I wanted to try a face primer was for my makeup to last longer. I don't really have pore issues but still wanted a 'poreless' primer so that I can use it on my mom too. After hearing good reviews about this one I gave it a go. I'm still testing it to form a thorough review.

I bought the Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation for Rs. 2300 from Naheed Supermarket, MAC Diva from a fellow blogger and Poreless Primer from a lady on Sheops (facebook buy-sell group) for Rs. 1000.

Let me know if there's anything you want me to review first. I can't wait to do Winter looks with MAC Diva! Also, were you able to cross items off your WishList? Let me know! (:

Until next time, Good Luck and Ciao!

My First "reforma.pk" Haul !!

Hello beautiful!

Do you find Online Shopping addicting? Online Makeup Shopping to be precise! Because I do!! I found this website called www.reforma.pk through my fellow bloggers. The website has a vast collection of different makeup brands, beauty brands mostly. I had my doubts in the beginning because we all know how different websites and pages fool people with the knock offs. For a long time I held back, although the amazing brands available on the website tempted me, but after doing a little research, reading reviews and watching other bloggers' hauls I took the plunge and ordered a few things off the website as my first haul. The whole order placing process was smooth. Good thing they offer COD and just three days after my order, it arrived on my doorstep and I felt so excited to have found another great website that was not just AUTHENTIC but super quick with their delivery too!! www.reforma.pk is definitely a good news for all us beauty-products-addicts! If you guys want, I'll gladly do a brief review of the website.

What I Hauled?

a) NYX - Dark Circle Corrector - Light
b) NYX - Born To Glow Liquid Illuminator - Sun Beam
c) Makeup Revolution - Powder Blush - Treat

As I mentioned, my order was delivered to me three days after I placed it which was fast! I got the corrector specially for Kiran Khan's Makeup Boot Camp to learn to hide my dark dark circles and I'm so glad I did. Winter is the time when I can rock the dewy finish because as I have combination skin a dewy finish is no different then an oily face for me in Summers so this is the best time to try liquid highlighters. This NYX one is my first actually!

Have you ordered from www.reforma.pk? How was your experience? What did you order? Would you like me to review their website? Let me know! (:

Until next time, Good Luck and Ciao!
